What do you do and why?
I run a healthcare startup by day and am a pediatric ER doctor by night. Becoming a doctor was somewhat inevitable with a grandmother who was a renowned pediatrician in Ukraine, where I was born. However, becoming an entrepreneur was a personal choice after seeing how broken the healthcare system is for most Americans, especially those in poverty.
What change would you like to enact in the world?
In a world where technology is changing our lives every second, we have an opportunity to make access to wellbeing a universal right. I hope to turn this opportunity into a reality.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I have a severe Seinfeld addiction — “not that there’s anything wrong with that.”
Why did you join IVY?
Studies show being more social leads to a longer life. I intend to live into my hundreds, vibrant as always.
What has been your most memorable IVY Experience?
While on crutches for six weeks after having knee surgery, I received a package in the mail. It was a book sent to me by a friend who I met through IVY. The pain and immobility I will soon forget, but the friendship I will forever remember.
