Last week at IVY we raised a glass to the summer of 2015 with a slew of celebrations: from the polo fields of Bethpage to rooftops in Chicago and New York to a beautiful sunset sail around Boston Harbor.
The Harriman Cup Polo Match
Armed with our brightest outfits and our craziest hats, we headed to Bethpage for the Annual Harriman Cup Polo Match between Yale and the University of Virginia. Members enjoyed an open bar and snacks all day from a special IVY tent, and after the matches danced to music from a live band. Oh, and did we mention that IVY took home the Award for Best Tailgate?
Members in Chicago headed to The Kensington for an End of Summer White Party. Members donned summer whites and sipped custom cocktails, as they reminisced the best memories from summer 2015.
Rooftop Farm-to-Table Brunch
Also on a roof, and also in Chicago, we headed to Homestead for a very special, very literal farm-to-table brunch, featuring foods grown in the restaurant’s 1,000-square-foot organic rooftop garden, two massive vertical hanging gardens, and dozens of planter boxes… YUM!
IVY End of Summer Soirée
We’re continuing the epic roof theme here with our End of Summer Soirée in New York at Mercedes Club. The evening including delicious custom cocktails from a full open bar, a DJ, and lots of great conversations with fellow members. (We’d be remiss if we didn’t give a shout out to the weather−you were asbolutely perfect.)
Sip ‘n Sail
Members in Boston heard the sound of the sea calling and climbed aboard at the Boston Sailing Center for a Sip ‘n Sail. We embark on one of three IVY-exclusive sailboats for a lesson and sunset tour of Boston Harbor. (Yes—by all means—we brought drinks on board. The views were stunning.)
IVY Art Night at SMASH Gallery
In San Francisco, IVY members toured Smash Gallery for an experimental new exhibit called Flesh, Air, and Water, which pairs two extraordinary artists in a radical take on the human condition.
Salon Discussion with Barbara Tannenbaum
How can you best craft and deliver your message to make the most persuasive argument possible? Last week, members enjoyed a life-changing IVY Salon Discussion with Professor Barbara Tannenbaum, whose Persuasive Communication course at Brown University is one of the most oversubscribed classes each semester.
