What do you do and why?

I’m part travel writer, part Founder of the travel site Where’s She Going?. I’m an overall creative.

What’s your source of inspiration?

Life. From the people I meet and the places I travel to, to the experiences I encounter — I find inspiration through anything that helps align me to my purpose and leads me to the best version of myself. I know when I’m inspired by something because I get this high level of excitement and anxious feeling in my stomach.

What change would you like to enact in the world?

I would like to motivate people around the world to explore their freedom to begin living the exact life they want to live today — especially through travel. That’s one of the main reasons why my travel site exists. I creatively curate content and visual stories of local experiences across destinations I travel to motivate people to make the world their oyster, enjoy life wholeheartedly, invest in self, get out of their comfort zone, do it now! I’m an advocate for living life wholeheartedly and transforming into your best self. Travel has played a big part in that for me.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

I’ve always wanted to be an American expat. As much as I love being born and raised in Chicago, it never quite felt like home. When I travel overseas, I feel more connected to the people and the culture. I’m currently researching countries like Amsterdam, Canada, Spain, and a few other locations as a potential second home. It’s time for me to spread my wings.

Why did you join IVY?

I joined IVY because I love the unique weekly curated events and group travel excursions (I hope to join a group travel excursion one day!). I love that there’s national chapters so I’m able to connect with other IVY members and attend events outside of Chicago.

What has been your most memorable IVY Experience?

Attending IVY Chicago’s Hendrick’s Gin Cocktail Academy event at Kinmont was a blast! I really enjoyed meeting other local IVY members and the cocktail-making class experience where we learned how to make three unique gin inspired cocktails. Also Hendrick’s is one of my favorite gin brands so you can’t go wrong there.
